In order to ensure we continue to address the plight of young people’s inclusion in governance and leadership, CYLA strategically continues to improve its systems so as to employ relevant strategies, policies and operational procedures that meet the needs on the ground. A two-tyer approach is utilized.

Individual Development

  • Support young leaders through internships at the center

  • Outsource training for staff capacity building

    • FES Leadership Training of CYLA staff

Organizational Development

  • Team Building

  • Organizational review of operational processes and systems,

  • Utilize peer-to-peer review, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) review for staff as means of ensuring all team members are stirring in the direction of the organization’s goals.

  • Partnerships with government and quasi- government institutions, CSOs and regional organizations
